Welcome to Berean Hills Alpacas

spotlessOur dream began as many do with a hobby and a joke, I began spinning yarn in 2009 and my friends teased my husband that soon there would be sheep in the backyard! Little did we know that it would be alpacas and not sheep!

OliviaShortly after that a car accident sent me (Debbie) to the chiropractor. Several times a week I drove 30 minutes through the countryside between Brockport and Albion, NY. There was a farm for sale and I wished we could move. The country was peaceful and the drive was relaxing. Suburban life began to feel confining and hectic. I started pining for a simpler life in warmer climes. This 50+ year resident of upstate New York is ready for a change! We started to plan for retirement.

Since that day we devoured everything I could find on alpacas. We visited many farms in the region and fell in love with Autumn Mist Alpacas. Jeff and Leslie have been wonderful mentors and have helped us decide which direction we wanted to take in our breeding program.

We are looking to relocate in North Carolina in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem area. The area reminds us of the Finger Lakes with rolling hills and wineries. All it is missing is the snow!
